ILLUSTRATION
Overview
The Superb Sustenance cooklet series include Savory Sides, Scrumptious Sweets, and Sublime Smoothies. The pastel color scheme and combination of both decorative and traditional fonts give the cooklets a feminine and airy feeling. The illustrated covers and structured guts help unify the books so the reader can easily identify them as a set.

Cover Design
The covers in the Superb Sustenance series include vector illustrations which form a border around the title. They each relate to the individual book’s contents—blenders and honey dippers, knives and spatulas, and oven mitts and rolling pins. Despite the differing icons, the similar style and stroke width create the same visual experience.
Typography
The typeface Eloquent is used for both the book cover titles and the recipe titles. This helps create continuity throughout the entire series. Noto Serif JP is the secondary, body font which juxtaposes, yet complements Eloquent. This type pairing helps convey an elegant and traditional feeling,
Layout
The series uses a strict three column grid layout. The first column houses the ingredients list, while the second and third column combine to contain the recipe steps. The placement of the image, title, recipe, and page number, are consistent among all the cooklets. The color found on the recipe page was carefully picked from the corresponding photograph. Although the color scheme is very broad, the similar tints tie them together.
